All About Forms: The Income-Net Worth and Employment Statement

The amount of paperwork required for benefits can be overwhelming. Let us help you remove some of the guesswork.

If you are filling out the Income-Net Worth and Employment Statement for your disability claim, chances are it is for one or both of two reasons:

  1. If you are applying for a disability pension or other VA benefit that’s related to income and/or your financial situation, this form provides the information necessary for the VA to determine if you meet the financial criteria for the program.
  2. To calculate your monthly benefit since the amount isn’t solely based on your percent of disability, but also on the number and type of dependents you have as well as other considerations.

The form requests detailed information about your dependents as well as your work and income history. For the most up-to-date version, go online to www.va.gov/vaforms/ or contact your local Department of Veterans Affairs office.
