The Walk4Vets event to return in 2014
The staff of Jan Dils Attorneys at Law is excited to announce that the charity event for veterans, the Walk4Vets, will return in September 2014. Founded in 2011 by Jan Dils, the Walk4Vets is an annual event held in the Mid-Ohio Valley that benefits local veterans’ organizations. In 2012, it raised nearly $18,000 for local veterans’ charities.
During its year-long hiatus in 2013, the employees of Jan Dils Attorneys at Law hosted several smaller events to benefit the Walk4Vets Foundation, including a successful scrapbooking/craft event called Scrap4Vets and a Veterans Day cookout.
The firm has been also working to improve the Walk4Vets event for 2014, including naming a new beneficiary. Proceeds from the Walk4Vets will benefit the West Virginia University at Parkersburg Veterans Corps, which supports continuing education efforts for its members. The staff at Jan Dils Attorneys at Law is excited to work with the Veterans Corps and looks forward to seeing what this relationship will lead to in the future.
While planning for the 2014 Walk4Vets is still in progress, the event slated for Saturday, September 14, 2014 will once again have live music, games and plenty of kid-friendly entertainment.
