Today, we are proud to announce the March 2015 Golden Apple Award Winner, Deborah Hartshorn of Wirt County High School!
Her students call her classroom a place of encouragement as she goes above and beyond to meet their educational needs. And she believes it’s all about doing your best.
“You set the expectation,” she said. “And kids will typically rise to the occasion. Push them to be the best version of them and do that in a way that they understand and believe that it’s for their own personal growth.”
For Mrs. Hartshorn, seeing her students get excited about projects is one of her favorite parts of the job. Great work, Mrs. Hartshorn!
