Jan Dils Golden Apple Award – December
Franklin Elementary School teacher Mrs. Ashley Lott has received the December Jan Dils Golden Apple Award for going the extra mile for her students.
In her six years of teaching first grade, Mrs. Lott has loved watching her students grow, laughing with them and taking advantage of teachable moments even if they’re not something that can be learned from a textbook. Her very first class recently moved on to middle school, which she says was a bittersweet experience for her.
Mrs. Lott received the award with her family in attendance, surrounded by students whose hugs only confirmed that she is a very worthy recipient. Congratulations, Mrs. Lott!
