Ms. Mendenhall was nominated for being dedicated, hardworking and always willing to go the extra mile. She has been teaching for 15 years, and cites her love of children and working as a team as her inspiration for becoming a teacher.
In order to succeed as a teacher, she believes it takes heart and kindness. Ms. Mendenhall advises new teachers to remember that the kids placed in their class are meant to be in there. She encourages them to be dedicated, have goals and to be an example for their students.
