Our Practical Problem Solver
Missy Parsons joined the Jan Dils family in 2010, and we are so lucky she did. She started as Receptionist, then promoted to Reception Team Leader, then Social Security Case Management Team Leader and a Non-Attorney Representative, then landed her current role of Social Security Operations and Training Manager. Missy is a helper and problem solver by nature, and her role gives her the opportunity to utilize those skills by perfecting processes and procedures that benefit our clients and team members. She knows that her job gives her the opportunity to make a difference each and every day and build meaningful relationships with those she is blessed to meet. Missy’s favorite thing about working for Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law is our purpose and mission.
Missy explains, “Our clients are dealing with an injury or disability that they aren’t prepared for, and it brings a lot of financial hardship along with physical and mental pain. In most cases, people’s lives are turned upside down. We can take a little bit of stress away by helping them navigate the complexity of these programs and help them get the benefits they deserve. This work keeps us humbled and relatable and allows us to give back to others and to our community.”
Missy currently resides in her hometown of Parkersburg, West Virginia where she also graduated from Parkersburg High School. Before joining our team, she worked at a Juvenile Treatment Facility for troubled and developmentally disabled children. She also provided in-home services to West Virginia residents with disabilities. Both roles drove her passion for helping others. Outside of work, Missy can usually be found spending time with family. Whether she’s cheering them on at events or spending time fishing, gardening, sitting by the fire or snuggled up watching a movie, her happy place is wherever her family is together.
