A new study announced by the American Legion will assess veterans and their loved ones across the nation regarding the care they receive from the VA for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The American Legion will use the results of their 59-question survey to comment on veteran satisfaction with VA mental healthcare at their national symposium on PTSD/TBI later this year.
The study primarily focuses on perceived benefits of both traditional and alternative treatments the VA has to offer for PTSD/TBI patients. Veterans and their families who wish to participate can do so online through August 16, answering mostly multiple-choice questions that can be completed with the click of a mouse.
Though the test will ask for details such as veteran status, gender and details about the individual’s service and healthcare experience, all answers will be confidential. No information will be shared beyond the American Legion’s research purposes for this specific study.
